Meet the Founder
Fatsani Tamandikani
Biomedical Engineer Β· Data Analyst Β· M&E Specialist Β· GIS TrainerFatsani Tamandikani is a multidisciplinary data professional with deep expertise spanning biomedical engineering, health informatics, data science, and geospatial analysis. With years of applied experience across public health, research, and development sectors, he founded The Data Academy to address the critical data skills gap hindering Africa's evidence-based development agenda.
Fatsani has led data collection and analysis for complex multi-site research studies, designed and programmed survey instruments for national health programs, and trained professionals across Malawi and the region in statistical analysis, GIS, and M&E systems.
He holds qualifications in Biomedical Engineering and has pursued advanced training in data science, GIS, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks β bringing a uniquely integrated perspective to every course and consulting engagement at TDA.
